A building that responds, not just reports

For facility managers and property owners who want comfort, energy and uptime under active control — not in a monthly report.

The default in building management is passive: a BMS that logs, a dashboard that shows yesterday’s problem, comfort complaints that arrive faster than the data explaining them. Meanwhile the installed base — HVAC, metering, lighting, access — is written off over decades, while the controls bolted onto it follow consumer product cycles. The result: buildings you watch, on hardware you’ll replace three times. We build it the other way around:

Monitoring tells you what your building did.
Control decides what it does next.

The Boolean way

We build complete building- and energy-management systems on industrial PLCs — control at the core, with Boolytics as the intelligence layer on top. The building runs autonomously and locally, even when cloud or network don’t; the monitoring makes that control smarter over time. The scope runs the full range, from a single office building that simply has to work, over multi-tenant campuses, to complex R&D environments. And the hardware is industrial throughout: chosen for 24/7 duty and a service life measured in decades, matching the depreciation horizon of your installations rather than the lifespan of a consumer gateway.

Pillar 01

Control first: a full BMS on industrial PLCs

Complete building management — HVAC, lighting, sunblinds, access — steered locally by industrial controllers, not by a box that phones home. At ASL Group that means a fully secured, autonomously steered building that adapts to how it’s used, climate-controlled aircraft hangar included. Local control is operational certainty: the building keeps running when the network doesn’t, and your technical team keeps one system to maintain instead of five.

Pillar 02

Monitoring as added intelligence

Every datapoint the building produces feeds back into the control layer. At ConstrucThor, KU Leuven’s climate-renovation test site, that’s 7,500 BACnet control points across 9 PLCs, with DALI and KNX integrated. Setpoints follow actual occupancy and conditions instead of a fixed schedule, drift and faults surface before they become comfort complaints — and your team can still take over every individual parameter whenever it wants to.

Pillar 03

Energy as part of the whole

We build full energy-management systems: load balancing, peak avoidance under the capacity tariff, solar self-consumption optimisation (ASL Group), and per-tenant metering that flows straight into automatic energy accounting — at Corda Campus that’s 250+ tenants billed off 600+ meters without a single manual reading. But never as an island: the EMS shares the same data layer and the same controllers as the rest of the building, so an energy decision is also a comfort and uptime decision. Audit-ready data for EPC and ESG reporting comes with it for free.

Pillar 04

Built to outlast product cycles

Open standards only — Modbus, BACnet, M-Bus, KNX, DALI — on industrial hardware with decades of spare-part availability. Retrofittable onto the existing installed base without replacing a single meter, and integrated with the FMS your facility team already lives in (Archibus at Corda Campus). Your patrimonium keeps its value and its options: no vendor lock-in traded for another. From straightforward office buildings to research infrastructure, the architecture is the same — only the scale changes.
